Listen to Black Mattie

Even if you are not a fan of Hip-Hop music you can still appreciate the deep grooves of this song. Robert “Wolfman” Belfour’s unmistakable moaning voice on top of  raunchy acoustic guitar lick and a sharp drumbeat makes for an incredible fusion of Blues and it’s much younger step child, Hip-Hop.  The tracks jumps off the immediately and then fades into Guitar Gabriel speaking words of wisdom in the background. The driving etherealness of the electric guitar licks laid on top of this track make in enjoyable from start to finish. Sol was one of the MMRF’s first Next Generation Artists and has been a great musical supporter of the Foundation for many years. You can read more about Sol here
