Diggin’: Little Freddie King – Baby Please Don’t Go

inTheir Musicon October 1, 2018

There are only a handful of artists as emblematic of New Orleans culture than Little Freddie King. It’s easy to forget that even in with his flashy zoot suits and hard driving electric blues sound that Little Freddie came up on the farm in McComb, MS. His acoustic version of the blues classic Baby Please Don’t Go, played here in his living room in the Lower 9th Ward, takes you you straight to Mississippi and gives a unique insight to the roots of Little Freddie’s style.
