You could say that my long journey to Music Maker started at the Mt. Airy Fiddler’s Convention which also happened to be old time fiddler Benton Flippen’s home. My immersion in old time and folk music happened fast as I began playing and attending more and more fiddler’s conventions. I remember walking up to a midday jam session at Mt. Airy while Benton was playing this signature tune with some younger fellows and was BLOWN away. This song, although written recently compared to almost every song in the genre is just as strong as the best traditional standards.

I also include proof of me being at Mt. Airy (see image.)
